The Multi-Level Pricing page allows you to set up multi-level prices for inventory items. This page is accessble only if the Pricing Control module is installed and activated in the system.

You can set up multi-level prices per item specification, per unit-of-measurement, per currency, per customer price group or a combination of any of these options. Each of these multi-level price option can be assigned multi-level quantity discount which is useful when you want to provide quantity discounts to your customers for bulk purchases. You can set the prices based on the price type that you select in this function.
Below are some of the options with multi-level pricing:
oMulti-level prices by customer price group
This multi-level price option is useful when you want to provide a distinct price for this inventory item group of customers. Customer Price Group codes are set up in the Customer Price Group Maintenance function and are assigned to the customer records. |
oMulti-level prices by item specification
This multi-level price option is available if the Item Specification module is activated and you have set up specifications for your inventory items. This option is useful when you want to assign different price to each specification of an item. |
oMulti-level prices by unit-of-measurement
This multi-level price option is useful when you want to provide item prices based on the item's unit-of measurement used in sales orders or invoices. |
oMulti-level prices by currency
This multi-level price option is useful when you are in business with international customers and you want to assign a specific item price in your customer's currency. |

Perform the following steps to set up multi-level prices:
1.In the Currency field, click the List box button and select the currency you want to use in setting up the item's multi-level prices. The default option is the company's home currency.

2.In the Price Type field, click the List box button and select one of the following options:
oList Price + %
Select this option if you want that the item's multi-level price is a percentage above item's current List Price. |
oList Price + Amt
Select this option if you want that the item's multi-level price is a certain amount above item's current List Price. |
oCost Base + %
Select this option if you want that the item's multi-level price is a percentage above cost. |
oCost Base + Amt
Select this option if you want that the item's multi-level price is a certain amount above cost. |
oFixed Amt
Select this option if you want to enter the item's multi-level price as a fixed amount regardless of the item's List Price or cost. |
3.In the Customer Price Group, you may enter the customer price group code to which this multi-level price applies to. You can set the customer price groups using the Customer Price Group Maintenance function.
4.In the Specification field, click the List box button and select the item specification for which this multi-level price set up is intended for.

5.Enter in the U 0f M field the item's specific unit-of-measurement for which this multi-level price is set up for. You may click the List box button and select from the list the units-of-measurement assigned to the inventory item.
6.Perform the following in the Multi-Level Price Setup grid:
6.1. Click the Append row to end button in the grid toolbar to activate a new line in the grid. |
For subsequent grid entries, you may click the Append row to end button to activate a line below the currently selected line in the grid or click the Insert row before current button to insert a blank line above the currently selected grid line. Add an entry in the grid for every price level that you want to create.
If you want to delete an entry in the grid, select the price level and click the Delete selected rows button. |
6.2. Enter in the Start Date field the date you want the item price to take effect. |
6.3. In the Quantity > or = field, enter a quantity level for which you will assign a price. |
6.4. Depending on the option you chose in the Price Type field, the column label will show as the following: % (Percentage), Amt (Amount) or Fixed Amt. |
o% (Percentage)
If you selected either the List Price + % or Cost Base + % option, enter a percentage rate in this field. This percentage rate will be calculated against the item's current List Price or Cost Base. |
oAmt (Amount)
If you selected either the List Price + Amt or Cost Base + Amt option, enter an amount in this field. This amount will be added to the item's current List Price or Cost base. |
oFixed Amt
If you selected the Fixed Amt option, enter an amount in this field. This amount will become the item's multi-level price regardless of it's List Price or Cost |
6.5. In the Multi-Level Price field, review the selling price that you can offer to your customers who will purchase this inventory item in a quantity which is greater or equal to the quantity you enter in the Qty> or = field. The value shown in this field is calculated based on the option you select in the Price Type field. |
7.If you want to delete the multi-level prices set up for a certain item's currency, customer price group, unit-of-measurement and/or a specification, select the specific option combination; then, Delete all entries in the Multi-Level Price Setup grid.
