The Warehouse page allows you to define the specific warehouse/s to which this inventory item will be stored. It means that the warehouse/s entered in this page are the possible locations where units of the inventory item will be physically stored. This page also allows you to define the warehouse bins in which units of the inventory item are to be stored.
To assign a warehouse and bins to the inventory item record, perform the following:
1.Click the Append row to end button in the grid toolbar to activate a new line in the Warehouse grid.
For subsequent warehouse entries, you may click the Append row to end button to activate a new line in the grid or click the Insert row before current button to insert a blank line above the currently selected grid line. |
2.Enter in the Warehouse field an existing warehouse code record where you want to store the inventory item. Alternatively, you may click the List box button to display the active warehouses available. Once a valid warehouse code is entered, the related information of the warehouse code will be automatically displayed in the respective fields in the grid.
3.Click the Show (
) button beside the Warehouse column to display the Bin grid. This grid allows you to set up and define specific bins in the selected warehouse.
4.In the Bin grid, click the Append row to end button to activate a new line. For subsequent bin entries, you may click the Append row to end button or the Insert row before current button to insert a new line above the currently selected grid line. Perform the following in this grid:
4.1. Enter in the Bin field an existing warehouse bin record where the inventory item will be stored. Alternatively, you may click the List box button to display in a list the available bins for the selected warehouse; then, click the bin to select. Once a valid bin is entered in this field, the related information of the bin will be displayed in the respective fields. |
4.2. Enter in the Refill Point field, the stock level at which you want the quantity of the inventory item to be replenished in this bin. If you specified an inventory type for this inventory item with refill point values, the corresponding values in the inventory type will appear in this field as the default values. You can always amend the default refill point values as necessary. |
4.3. Enter in the Refill Qty field, the suggested order quantity to replenish the bin quantity stock levels. If you specified an inventory type for this inventory item with refill quantity values, the corresponding values in the inventory type will appear in this field as the default values. You can always amend the default refill quantity values as necessary. |
4.4. To delete a bin in the grid, highlight the bin that you want to delete; then, click the Delete button in the Bin grid toolbar. |
5.To delete a warehouse from the Warehouse grid, select the warehouse that you want to delete; then, click the Delete button in the Warehouse grid toolbar.
