Lot Control

The Lot Control module allows you to track inventory items by lot number to monitor its movements and corresponding expiration dates in case you need to recall these inventory items. The system only allows you to assign lot numbers if you have activated the Use Lot Control option in their inventory records. With the activation of Lot Control module, you can perform the following:

•Effectively manage your critical inventory items.

•Track which inventory items you need to sell before their expiration dates.

•Print various reports that will provide information about recalled inventory items, on-hand quantity in a particular lot and the expiration dates of each lot.

•Use the Assign Lot Number functions in assigning different lot numbers.

These are the methods of assigning lot numbers to lot-controlled inventory items as follows:

oAssign Lot Numbers by Item

Choose this function to select from among all lot-controlled inventory items, an inventory item whose units you want to assign with lot number. You can use also this function when assigning lot numbers to lot-controlled kit inventory items.

oAssign Lot Numbers for Customized Kit Items

Choose this function to select, from among the lot-controlled customized kit items on a particular sales order, an inventory item whose units you want to assign with a lot number.

Note: This function is accessible only if you have installed the Lot Control module and activated the Activate Lot Control function in the Module Activated area in the General Information page of the IC Module Setup function.
