Lot Control > General Guidelines in Lot Control Implementation

To implement the Lot Control module, perform the following procedures:

1.Access the General Information page of the IC Module Setup function to set up the general parameters when recording lot item maintenance records and transactions.

2.Set up lot-controlled inventory items by either creating a template to be used when creating new lot-controlled items or directly create a lot-controlled item record without using a template. Refer to the Lot Control in Inventory Type and Inventory Maintenance section for the detailed discussion on these features.

When you have performed the foregoing procedures, you can begin the normal cycle of creating purchase order, assigning lot numbers and shipping lot-controlled items to customers.
