AccountMate allows you to record a lot number for each applicable lot-controlled inventory item for specifically identifying each inventory item in the production run. This feature is useful when problem arises during production run and you need to recall these lot-controlled inventory items.
Example: Each production batch for perishable goods such as medicine and corn chips might have their own identifying production number. You can use the Assign Lot Number function to assign different lot numbers.
Below are the different methods in assigning lot numbers to lot-controlled inventory items:
oAssign Lot Number by Item
Choose this function to assign lot numbers for increase quantity adjustments of lot control items recorded through the Inventory Adjustment function. You can also use this function in assigning lot numbers for lot-controlled kit and lot-controlled serialized inventory items. |
oAssign Lot Numbers by Purchase Order
Choose this function to assign lot numbers for increase quantity adjustments of lot control items through the receipt of purchased goods using the Received Goods function. You can also use this function in assigning lot numbers for lot-controlled kit and lot-controlled serialized inventory items received from a purchase order. |
oAssign Lot Numbers for Customized Kit Items
Choose this function to assign lot numbers on built customized lot-controlled kit items from sales order recorded through the Build Customized Kit Items function of the Sales Order module. |
