With the AccountMate Lot Control module, you can always track units of lot-controlled inventory items, from purchase or production to inventory and sale. You can also record each lot-controlled unit's expiration date. The Lot Control module works with AccountMate’s Accounts Receivable, Sales Order, Purchase Order and Inventory Control modules. To enable the lot control option in the General Information page of the IC Module Setup function, you must first activate the Lot Control module.

Note: Activating the lot control features in the IC Module Setup function automatically enables the lot control features integrated in the Sales Order, Accounts Receivable, Purchase Order and Inventory Control modules.

To activate the lot control feature in Inventory Control module, perform the following procedures:

1.Access the IC Module Setup function in the Setup group of the Maintenance menu of the Inventory Control module.

2.In the Module Activation area of the General Information page in the IC Module Setup function, mark the Activate Lot Control checkbox.

3.In the Assign Lot # When Building Kit Items area, mark any of the following options:

oDon't Assign

Select this option to assign lot numbers as you build the lot-controlled kit inventory items.

oAlways Assign

Select this option to require assignment of lot numbers when building kit inventory items using the Build Kit Item function in the Transactions menu.

oOption to Assign

Select this option to display a message asking whether you want to assign lot numbers when building kit inventory items.
