Warehouses plays an important role in businesses wherein producers store raw materials for future production or sellers store their goods until it is sold. It is important to have adequate control over your inventory items; hence, you need to know the location and levels of your inventory. One way to achieve this is to maintain reliable warehouse records.
This section discusses the procedures for setting up warehouse records in the system. When you set up codes for different warehouses, you can also identify on-hand quantities and the movements of the units of inventory within and between warehouses.

Notes:
•You must have the Inventory Control module to set up multiple warehouse records in AccountMate. If you do not have the Inventory Control module, you will only have one warehouse in the system - "MAIN". •If all of your inventory items are stored in and shipped from one warehouse only, you do not need to define or set up an additional warehouse record. The system comes with a predefined “Main” warehouse code that is the default warehouse when setting up inventory item records. •If you maintain more than one warehouse, you have to set them up using the Warehouse Maintenance function and assign them to each inventory item. When creating inventory item transactions in any module, you need to specify the warehouse affected by the transactions. |
