System Manager > Install, Access and Exit AccountMate Enterprise

After you have installed AccountMate Enterprise, you can use the software only for a limited time until you install the license file. When you have received your license file, install it immediately. Installation of the license file results in the registration of your company as the software licensee and the following:

•Registration of your company as the software licensee

•Removal of the 30-day restriction on the use of AccountMate

•Removal of the database size limitation

•Maintenance Plan expiration date

•Maximum number of users

Note: Your company name, address, and support number will be displayed in the AccountMate Enterprise Login window and in Help->About AccountMate Enterprise under the File menu.

To install and activate the license, perform the following procedures:

1.Install the AccountMate Enterprise License Service on a workstation that is accessible in the network. It is preferable to install the License Service on the same workstation where the SQL server for AccountMate Enterprise is installed.

2.Verify that the AccountMate Enterprise License Service is running; otherwise, start or restart the service.

Note: To verify that the AccountMate Enterprise License Service is running, access the Task Manager and click the Services tab. Locate the AccountMate Enterprise License Service. Refer to the License Service Installation Guide on instructions on how to install the AccountMate Enterprise License Service.

3.Take note of the workstation's machine name where the AccountMate Enterprise License Service is installed. Please contact your Network or System Administrator to assist you regarding this.

4.Copy your company's license file into any drive or directory that is accessible from the server or workstation where you will run the AccountMate Enterprise program.

5.Launch AccountMate Enterprise.

6.Once the AccountMate Enterprise screen is displayed, click the File menu; then, select Help.

7.In the About AccountMate Enterprise screen, enter in the License Server Name field the workstation's name where the license service is installed; then, click Update.

8.Next, click the Get License link. In the Open File window, locate the directory where your license file is saved; then, select the file. Click Open to proceed; otherwise, click Cancel to abort the license file installation.

If during the License File installation the License Service is stopped or not started, the License File fails to register and an error message will display. Be sure that the License Service is started and running prior to installing the License Service.

9.When the license file installation is completed, the About AccountMate Enterprise screen will show "Product Activated” at the top. It will also show your company name as the licensee as well as your company address, your AccountMate maintenance plan expiration date and the maximum number of users licensed to use AccountMate Enterprise at any time.

Notes:

•The AccountMate Enterprise License Service must be started to be able to successfully login to AccountMate Enterprise. If the License Service is not started, AccountMate Enterprise will behave like a DEMO copy.

•If the License Service is stopped, users who are already logged in to AccountMate Enterprise can continue to use the program and will not be disconnected. However, other users can not login to AccountMate Enterprise until the License Service is restarted.
