Sales Order > Customized Kit Items in Sales Order > Build Customized Kit Item

Perform the following steps in the Customized Item Page:

1.Specify the storage bin where the assembled customized kit items will be stored. Enter the bin number in the Bin field.

Note: The bin number that you enter in the Bin field must carry the kit inventory item that you specified in the Kit Item # field in the Build Customized Kit Item function; otherwise, AccountMate Enterprise will not allow you to proceed with the transaction.

2.Enter in the Build Quantity field the number of the customized kit items you want to build. The default build quantity value comes from the sales order. This value is diminished by the number of units that has been built.

3.Review the values in the following read-only fields:

oOrder Quantity

This field shows the sales order quantity of the customized kit item based on the sales order number entered in the SO # field.

oBuilt Quantity

This field shows the number of the customized kit item in the sales order that was already built.

oSuggested Build Quantity

This field shows the quantity needed to fulfill the sales order quantity considering the number of the customized kit item that is already built.

4.If the kit item is either serialized or lot-controlled, the applicable button below is enabled:

oAssign Serial Number

This option is enabled if the customized kit item is a serialized item and you selected either the Always Assign or Option to Assign option in the Assign Serial # When Building Kit Items area of the General Information page of the IC Module Setup function. Click this button display the Assign Serial # by Item function screen where you can set the parameters to assign serial number(s) to the kit items being built. Alternatively, you can assign the serial number(s) later by manually accessing the Assign Serial # by Item.

oAssign Lot Number

This option is enabled if the customized kit item is a lot-controlled item and you selected either the Always Assign or Option to Assign option in the Assign Lot # When Building Kit Items area of the General Information page of the IC Module Setup function. Click this button to display the Assign Lot # by Item function screen where you can set the parameters to assign lot number to kit items being built. Alternatively, you can assign the lot number later by manually accessing the Assign Lot # by Item.

5.To proceed, click the Next button. The Component Item Details page will automatically display. Refer to the Component Item Details Page section for more information on the steps to perform on this page.
