oCreate Sales Order / Sales Quote
You can create a sales order through any of the following methods: |
•Create Sales Order
•Approval of a Sales Quote
•Copy from an existing Sales Order/Quote Record
•Release of blanket sales order
•Create a recurring Sales Order
oShip Sales Order
In shipping a sales order, you can either click a button to make all of the open quantities the default ship quantities or enter each ship quantity manually. When shipping a sales order, the system automatically checks the quantities on-hand. You also have the option to cancel open sales order quantity and; if the user also has the Accounts Receivable module, the system can be set up to create an invoice for each shipment. |
oCancel Sales Order Open Order
You can cancel open orders even after shipment. The Cancel SO Open Order function has a filter criteria section where you can set the parameters for open sales orders you want to cancel. You can specify a single or a range of customer numbers, salesperson numbers, sales order numbers and/or order dates. Based on the criteria specified, the system displays the sales order number along with the open items and quantities and then, you can select which sales order(s) you want to simultaneously cancel. This saves time because you no longer have to access each sales order to cancel the open order items. |
oBlanket Sales Order
A blanket sales order establishes and authorizes orders of inventory items with certain quantity for a customer within a specific period of time. It enables your company to lock-in any special price and/or discount offered to the customer.
Created blanket sales orders when released are automatically converted into sales orders. The Release Blanket Sales Order function authorizes your company to make shipment against the sales order. You can define until when blanket sales orders are to remain valid in the system. |
oRecurring Sales Order
Using the Recurring Sales Order function, you can set up multiple recurring-sales order templates for each customer and generate recurring orders for a selected period of time. This saves you time from generating sales orders every time they have to be prepared either weekly, bimonthly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. With this function, you can automatically generate the sales orders whenever they need to be created. |
oBuild Customized Kit Item
You can customize kit inventory items and record how many units of customized kit inventory items were built. Customized kit inventory items need to be built before they can be shipped. A customized kit inventory item is built according to a customized kit formula created in the Kit Item Formula window when you created the sales order.
The system provides you with the flexibility of disassembling built customized kit items, whenever there is a need to disassemble and restock the component parts. |
oAdvanced Billing
You can create a pro-forma invoice for customers prior to shipping the sales order. Advanced bills can be created either for the whole order or a portion of it. Shipping the advance bill will convert it into an active sales invoice. This feature gives you the flexibility to determine when the billing will occur and for what quantity. |
