The Access Rights Page allows you to grant access rights to a group on a per module and function basis.  The individual access rights is displayed under the specific modules it belongs to. This function allows you to grant access per group to view, edit existing records, add new records, and/or delete existing records. You also have the option to grant all these 4 separate access rights which means that the user has full access rights.

To assign access rights to the group, perform the following steps:

1.Click the Expand (^) button to locate and view the module, function groups or specific functions.

2.Mark the specific checkbox(es) that corresponds to the individual access right under each of the following columns:

View

Mark this checkbox if you want to grant read-only access right to the group.

Edit

Mark this checkbox if you want to allow the group to be able to edit or amend records

Add

Mark this checkbox if you want to allow the group to be able to create new records or transactions

Delete

Mark this checkbox if you want the group to be able to delete existing records in the system

Full

Mark this checkbox if you want the group to be able to view, edit, add and delete records in the system. Marking this checkbox will automatically put the View, Edit, Add and Delete checkboxes as marked. Unmarking this checkbox on the other hand, will leave the View checkbox as marked but will unmark the rest of the other checkboxes.

notes_c

Note: Marking a checkbox at the module level, function group type level (e.g. Transactions, Reports, etc) or function group level (e.g. Chart of Accounts, General Maintenance, etc) will automatically mark all the checkboxes under that level. For example, marking the Edit checkbox at the General Ledger Transactions level will also set as marked the Edit checkboxes under the Journal Entry, Recurring Entry and Posting function groups as well as the individual functions under these groups.

3.To grant access rights to specific pages or screens in a function window, click the Show/Hide Details (+) icon beside each function name. Select the access right option that you want to assign to the group:

Hidden

Mark this checkbox if you do not want the user to be able to access the page. When this option is selected, the specific page is hidden from sight when a use accesses the function window.

View Only

Mark this checkbox if you want to grant read-only access right to the group.

Full

Mark this checkbox if you want the group to be able to view the page in the function window and be able to enter or edit the values in the page's fields.

4.After reviewing your choices, click the Save button to save the record; otherwise, click Cancel to discard your entry.
