Update or Delete Kit Formula

To update or delete a kit formula, perform the following procedures:

 

1.Access the Kit Formula Maintenance function from the Kit Item group of the Maintenance main menu in the Inventory Control module. The Search screen is automatically displayed.

 

2.Enter in the Search field the kit item number whose kit item formula you want to update or delete. Alternatively, you may scroll up or down the grid to locate the kit item number; then, double-click to select. As soon as a kit item number is selected, the kit formula details are displayed in the Kit Components grid.

 

3.If you want to delete the kit formula, click the Delete button in the Maintenance Toolbar.

 

4.If you want to update the kit formula, perform any of the following procedures:

 

To copy a kit formula from an existing kit formula of other kit items, click the Copy button in the Maintenance toolbar. The Copy Kit Item Record window will display where you can choose the source company and kit item record from which you want to copy the kit formula. Refer to the Copy Kit Item Record Window section for the detailed discussion on the steps to be performed in this window.

Note: Copying of kit formula from other kit items will overwrite the kit formula you have set up for the kit item accessed in this function.

 

To delete a component inventory item, highlight the desired component inventory item; then, click the Delete button in the grid toolbar.

 

To add another component stock or non-stock inventory item to the existing kit formula, click the Append row to end button or the Insert row before current button to add a new blank line in the grid and enter values on the following fields:

 

Component Item #

Description (non-stock component items)

Qty/Kit

Unit Cost (non-stock component items)

Print

 

 

To amend the existing component inventory item, amend values on the following fields of your desired component stock or non-stock inventory item:

 

Description (non-stock component items)

Qty/Kit

Unit Cost (non-stock component items)

Print

 

5.After updating the kit formula, click the Save button in the Maintenance toolbar; otherwise, click Cancel to disregard changes.
