Kitting > Kitting General Parameters

You can set up the general control parameters of the Kitting module functions in the IC Module Setup function. These general parameters will affect the maintenance and transaction functions of Sales Order, Accounts Receivable and Inventory Control modules where the Kitting module functions are integrated. You must complete setting up the parameters for Kitting module before you begin set up of maintenance records and recording of transactions.

Notes:

•Activating the kitting features in the IC Module Setup function automatically activates the kitting features integrated in the Sales Order and Accounts Receivable modules.

•The kitting-related options in the General Information page of the Inventory Control Module Setup function is accessible only after activating the Kitting module.

To activate the Kitting feature in Inventory Control module, perform the following procedures:

1.Access the Inventory Control Setup function from the Setup group in the Maintenance menu of the Inventory Control module.

2.In the Module Activation section of the General Information page, mark the Activate Kitting option to activate the Kitting module. Marking this checkbox will activate the kitting-related field and features that are integrated in all applicable modules.

3.The Assign Serial # when Building Kit Items area allows you to assign serial numbers when building serialized kit inventory items. Select the applicable setting from these options:

oDon't Assign

Select this option to disable the capability to assign serial numbers to kit items when building serialized kit items using the Build Kit Item or Build Customized Kit Item functions.

oAlways Assign

Select this option to require assignment of serial numbers when building serialized kit items using the Build Kit Item or Build Customized Kit Item functions.

oOption to Assign

Select this option to enable the Assign Serial Number button and give you an option to assign serial numbers when building serialized kit items using the Build Kit Item or Build Customized Kit Item functions.

4.The Assign Lot # when Building Kit Items area allows you to assign lot numbers when building lot-controlled kit items. Select the applicable setting from these options:

oDon't Assign

Select this option to disable the capability to assign lot numbers to kit items when building lot-controlled kit items using the Build Kit Item or Build Customized Kit Item functions.

oAlways Assign

Select this option to require assignment of lot numbers when building lot-controlled kit items using the Build Kit Item or Build Customized Kit Item functions.

oOption to Assign

Select this option to enable the Assign Lot Number button and give you an option to assign lot numbers when building lot-controlled kit items using the Build Kit Item or Build Customized Kit Item functions.
