Payroll > General Guidelines in Payroll Module Integration

To implement the Payroll (PR) module, perform the following steps:

1.Launch the AccountMate Enterprise program and access the System Administrator module. Install a License File that includes the Payroll module.

You must install a License File that includes the Payroll module; otherwise, you can not access the AccountMate Payroll program.

2.Create live company that will be used for payroll transactions GL entries integration. Be sure that the fiscal period table and the GL Account Segment Definition are the same as that of the Payroll module company which will be used for recording payroll transactions.

3.Set up GL Account IDs that will be used for the GL entries created from payroll transactions. Be sure that the GL Account IDs used in payroll transactions exists in the AccountMate Enterprise company's Chart of Accounts.

4.Install the Payroll module.

5.Set up the connection parameters required to establish connection between the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll and AccountMate Enterprise live companies.

6.Set up and assign user access rights for both the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll and AccountMate Enterprise companies. Create the user account in the AccountMate Enterprise company and create the same user account and password in the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll company. For each user, be sure that the username and corresponding password match for both user accounts.

The users that need access rights to the Payroll module must exist in both the AccountMate Enterprise company and AccountMate Enterprise Payroll company. Their username(s) and password(s) must also match; otherwise, the user will not be able to run and access the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll program.

7.To access the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll program, click the Module List and select Payroll. This will automatically launch the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll program.

When you have performed and completed the foregoing procedures, you may begin the normal cycle of recording transactions in the Payroll module.
