Install Payroll Module

This section discusses the procedures for installing the Payroll (PR) module in AccountMate Enterprise.

 

 

Important points to remember in the installation of the PR module:

 

1.Before installing the module, verify that your hardware and software resources meet the minimum requirements. Refer to the System Requirements document specific for the AccountMate Payroll program.

 

2.Install the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll program in the same workstation/server that houses the AccountMate Enterprise installation.

Note: The AccountMate Enterprise Payroll installer will create a desktop shortcut only for the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll Administrator program.

 

3.Access the Administrator program by clicking the desktop shortcut or from the Start Menu. The Administrator program can not be accessed from within the AccountMate Enterprise program.

 

4.Enter the Product Key and activate the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll module. This Product Key is specific to be used for and must be entered in the Administrator program.

 

5.Install the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll License File, enter the Maintenance Key and PR Tax Subscription Key specific for your company.

Note: Please contact your AccountMate Solutions Provider or AccountMate Customer Support for assistance about your company's Payroll License File, Maintenance Key and/or PR Tax Subscription Key.

 

6.Create and set up the live company that will be used for your payroll transactions. Be sure that the fiscal period table and the GL Account Segment Definition are the same as that of the company in AccountMate Enterprise into which payroll transactions will be integrated.

 

7.Set up the group and user access rights for users that needs access to the payroll module. Create a user account in the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll company that matches an existing user's account in the AccountMate Enterprise company specifically for Payrolll integration. For each user, be sure that the username and corresponding password match for both user accounts.

The users that need access rights to the Payroll module must exist in both the AccountMate Enterprise company and AccountMate Enterprise Payroll company. Their username(s) and passwords must also match; otherwise, the user will not be able to run and access the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll program.

 

 

8.Set up the GL Account IDs in the AccountMate Enterprise Payroll program. Access the PR Module Setup and click the GL Accounts tab. Click any of the underlined field label to display the GL Account ID Maintenance window; then, enter the GL Account ID and description in the respective fields. Be sure that the GL Account IDs you enter in this window also exists in the AccountMate Enterprise company's Chart of Accounts.
