BOM Components Listing

The Bill of Materials Components Listing provides information about all the components that are required in manufacturing the master items as defined and set up in the bill of materials. This report shows all the component details at every step in the production process.

 

This report can be used to review the components used in the manufacture of master items.

 

 

To print the BOM Components Listing, perform the following steps:

 

1.Access the BOM Components Listing function from the Listings group under the Reports main menu in Manufacturing module.

 

2.Click the List box button beside the Configuration field and select the preferred report configuration.

 

3.Amend or accept the default sorting option in the Sort By field. To select a different Sort By option, click the List box button and select from the options displayed on the list.

 

4.In the Layout field, accept or amend the default layout for the report. To select a different Layout option, click the List box button and select from the options displayed on the list.

 

5.In the Report Configuration area, define the report filters. Depending on the Sort By option you choose, you may mark the Individual checkbox if you want to generate the report for a single record and enter the appropriate value in the adjacent field; otherwise, select in the Filters area the preferred criteria in generating the report.

 

6.Choose one of the following options to filter the types of components that you want to include in the report:

 

oAll Components

Select this option if you want to include on the report all the components, regardless of the component type.

 

oInventory Components Only

Mark this option if you want to include in the report only the inventory item components.

 

oLabor Components Only

Mark this option if you want to include in the report only the labor components.

 

oMachine Components Only

Mark this option if you want to include in the report only the machine components.

 

7.Choose one of the following options to include in the report:

 

oAll Items

Select this option is you want to show in the report all items and components in the bill of materials.

 

oParent Item and Components Only

Mark this option if you want to generate a report showing only the parent item and its components.

 

oPhantom Item and Components Only

Mark this option if you want to generate a report showing only the phantom item and its components.

 

8.Select which version of the bill of material you want to generate the report:

 

Current Effective Version

All Versions

 

9.Mark the Include Estimated Overhead Cost checkbox if you want to show in the report the  overhead costs estimated in manufacturing the master item in the bill of material.

 

10.Click the Preview or Print button to preview or print the report, respectively.

 

 

The BOM Components Listing function provides you with flexibility to perform the following:

 

Set up user-defined report macro

Set up user-defined sort option

Set up user-defined report layout

Include notes in the printed report

Export the report to various supported file formats

Send the report as attachment to an email

Include time and printed by information
