Perform the following steps in the Component Item Details page in the Build Kit Item function:

1.The grid shows the kit component item details. Review the information displayed on the grid.

2.If applicable, enter values in the following columns:

oUnit Cost

This column is enabled for the non-stock component items in the kit formula. Enter in this column the cost for each unit of non-stock items.

oFrom Bin

Enter in this field the source bin where each component kit item will be obtained during the assembly of kit items. You may click on this field to show the List box button which you can click to select a bin number from a list. The default bin is the bin with an on-hand quantity and with the lowest sequence number based on the sequence of bins defined in the Bin Setup in the Warehouse page of the item's maintenance record.

To select multiple bins, click the Show () at the right-most grid column to display the Bins tab. Enter in the Required Quantity column the item quantity from each bin. If there are multiple source bins for each component item as specified in the Bins tab, the From Bin field will show "Multiple."

3.If a component item, which is set to update on-hand, has an available quantity in the selected warehouse but has insufficient quantity in the selected bin, click on the From Bin field to show the List box button which you can click to select a different bin number from a list.

4.In the event that the component units are stored in several bins, double-click on the Required Quantity field to display the Bins tab where you can specify the number of component units to be taken from each bin. If there are multiple source bins for each component item as specified in the Bins tab, the From Bin field will show "Multiple."

5.If you want to change the values or section entered in the Kit Item page, click the Back button.

6.If the kit component items includes items that are serialized or lot-controlled, the Next button is enabled. Click the Next button to display the Special Component Items where you can select the specific serial number or lot number to use in the kit item being built.

7.When you are ready, click the Save button to save the build kit item transaction.
