The Line Items page allows you to add and delete from a work order the master items that you may manufacture. You may also insert a master item in the grid and rearrange the order of master items in any manner you want. In addition, the system allows you to enter multiple master items with the same inventory item numbers in the grid.
To specify the master items in a work order, perform the following steps:
1.In the Line Items grid, enter the master item(s) for which you want to create a work order. Perform the following in this grid:
1.1. Activate a new blank line in the grid by clicking the Append row to end button. |
For subsequent grid entries, you may click the Append row to end button to activate a new blank line in the grid or click the Insert row before current button to insert a blank line above the currently selected line.
To delete a line in the grid, select the line that you want to delete; then, click the Delete button in the grid toolbar. |

1.2. Enter in the Master Item # field the inventory item number that you want to manufacture. Alternatively, you may click the Lookup button to display the Search window where you can select an inventory item number. Once an item number is entered or selected, the item description is displayed in the corresponding field in the grid. |

1.3. If the master item has specifications, enter in the Specification field the item's specification that you want to manufacture. Alternatively, you may click the List box button to select the item's specifications from a list. |
1.4. Accept or amend the master item's default unit-of-measurement in the U of M field. To amend, click the List box button and select the U of M you want to use in this particular work order. |
1.5. Accept or amend the value in the Batch Count field. This refers to the number of the master item's batch production run. |
1.6. In the Mfg Quantity field, enter the quantity of the master item that you want to manufacture. You may accept or amend the default value. |
1.7. Enter in the Request Date field the date when to complete the work order manufacture. You may accept or amend the default date which is the system date. |
2.You may review the values in the read-only fields below the grid. The values in these fields pertains to the master item selected in the grid and highlights the item's different quantities.
