The manufacturing cycle involves transforming resources into inventory items for sale. The process to manufacture inventory items begins from the need to replenish inventory levels or fill in a customer order.

 

Planning is an important phase in the manufacturing cycle. You must identify the resources required to complete the work order and to properly allocate the schedule or use of these resources. You may also need reports to assist you in effective decision-making.
