In a manufacturing facility, it is common that areas are identified wherein a certain task associated with a production process is performed such as assembling, painting, welding, etc. In AccountMate Enterprise, these areas are referred to as Work Centers and represents locations or areas in the shop floor where production is going on.

Work Center records in AccountMate Enterprise are maintained using the Work Center Maintenance function. These work center records consists of labor usage records and machines which can help you identify resources used to manufacture products. It further allows you to set the work center record as outsourced, which means that the work is to be performed by a 3rd party that may or may not be set up as a vendor in AccountMate.
