Update Reorder Point

The procedure discussed in this section are the steps to follow if you selected the Update Reorder Point option in the Item Reorder Quantity Update function.

 

 

To update the inventory item's reorder point, perform the steps below:

 

1.In the Base Reorder Point on section, select the basis for updating the inventory items' reorder points. Choose one of the following options:

 

oReorder Point Formula

Select this option if you want to use the reorder point formula as basis for updating the inventory items' reorder points. If you select this option, click the Ellipsis button beside it to display the Reorder Point Factors window in which you can define the factors to be used to calculate the reorder point formula.

 

oCurrent Reorder Point

Select this option if you want to use the current reorder points as basis for updating the inventory items' reorder points. If you select this option, enter in the adjacent field the desired percentage of increase of the reorder points.

 

oSales in all Warehouses

Select this option if you want to update the reorder points based upon a specified percentage of the total unit sales from all warehouses during the specified range of dates.

 

oSales in Warehouse

Select this option if you want to update the reorder points based upon a specified percentage of the total unit sales from a specific warehouse during the specified range of dates.

 

oUsage in Warehouse

Select this option if you want to update the reorder points based upon a specified percentage of the total number of raw material quantities used in manufacturing finished goods in a specific warehouse during the specified range of dates.

 

oSpecific Quantity

Select this option if you want to enter a fixed quantity of increase in each inventory item's reorder points.

 

2.Perform Step #6 discussed in Item Reorder Quantity Update section.
