The Labor Grade Maintenance function allows you to update or delete a labor grade record at any time. Any changes on the labor grade record will take affect on new bills of materials or work order transactions created where the record is being used. Deleting a labor grade record will have no effect on existing bills of materials or work order transactions where the record is being used.
To update or delete a labor grade record, perform the following steps:
1.Access the Labor Grade function from the General Maintenance group in the Maintenance menu of the Manufacturing module. The Search screen is automatically displayed when this function is accessed.
2.Enter in the Search field the labor grade record that you want to update. You may also scroll up or down the grid to locate the labor grade code; then, double-click the code to select. As soon as a labor grade code is selected, the labor grade details are automatically displayed on their corresponding fields.
Alternatively, you may use the full text search feature when searching for labor grade records. Simply click the Show Full Text Search button in the right-most section of the function screen to display the Full Text Search field. Enter in this field the value of the record you want to search for using the values in the columns displayed on the Search screen. |
3.To update the labor grade record:
3.1. Review and amend the values in their corresponding fields. Take note that fields that are grayed out or inaccessible cannot be edited or changed. |
3.2. When you are ready to proceed, click the Save button in the function toolbar to save your changes; otherwise, click Cancel to discard your changes. |
4.To delete an existing labor grade record, click the Delete button in the function toolbar. A message will be displayed to confirm that you want to delete the labor grade record. Click Yes to confirm deletion; otherwise, click No.
