Labor Grade

In manufacturing master items, labor resources are needed to complete the work order. In AccountMate Enterprise, a labor grade record represents the type of labor that will be done at a particular step in the manufacturing process. You can set up, maintain, or delete labor grade records using the Labor Grade Maintenance function. Labor grade records are used when you first define the labor components in the bills of materials and work orders since actual labor information is not yet known at this time. Actual labor or team resources are specified during Record Work-in-Process. You can use the labor grade information to view the projected total costs of one batch run for a bill of materials or work order with a known batch size. These labor grade records also serves as a source of labor type usage information in the Manufacturing module.
