AccountMate Enterprise's Pricing Control (PC) module provides the ability to easily and quickly set up a complex pricing structure. The module is an excellent tool to have to satisfy your pricing needs. The module has the following features:
•Price maintenance in thoughtfully designed functions
•Unlimited simultaneous pricing by quantity and price group
•Ability to set up minimum prices for inventory items, list price per item specification, last sale price, and multi-level item price
•Quick and easy changes to inventory prices without spending hours on data entry
The Pricing Control module can be integrated with the following modules:
Inventory Specification (SP)
When the Pricing Control features are integrated with the Inventory Specification module’s powerful features, you can create multi-layered pricing structured by inventory types and specification codes such as size and color. The PC and SP modules work hand-in-hand to provide inventory and pricing structures customized to your particular needs.
Sales Order (SO)
Integration with the Sales Order module allows you to use the Current Customer Price Based on and Minimum Price features during the sales order process.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Integration with the Accounts Receivable module allows you to use the Current Customer Price Based on and Minimum Price features while creating regular invoices and when generating recurring invoices.
Inventory Control (IC)
Integration with the Inventory Control module allows you to update all the price types created in PC, including List Price, Minimum Price, Item Price Group and multi-level prices based on Sales Order Quantity.
All three modules (SO, AR and IC) allow access to the most powerful features of the Pricing Control module, which are the Multi-Level Price Update, Customer Price Group Maintenance and Basic Price Update functions. With this easy accessibility, you have at your fingertips the tools you need to serve customers.
In addition, the Pricing Control module offers the following pricing features:
Pricing Features
You can create list price and multi-level prices in the inventory maintenance record. The Inventory Maintenance function allows you to define and set up a more elaborate pricing structure for the inventory item. This function allows you to assign a variety of pricing methods such as list price by item specification (if you have the Inventory Specification module), list price for standard items with different units of measurement, basic price for standard inventory items, and multi-level price by price group and by quantity to the inventory item.
The system also provides you with a current customer price feature. This feature allows you to specify that either the Last Sales Order Price or the Last Invoice Price will remain in effect for a particular customer for a specified number of days. When a sales order is created or an invoice generated, the last price paid will automatically be selected as the default price for the customer. This feature is most beneficial when you have a varying price structure for certain customers. The feature can be easily configured in AR or SO Module Setup function.
Create Inventory Minimum Selling Prices
Three Minimum Price Types are available in this module. You can establish selling criteria to be Percentage Above Cost, Fixed Amount Above Cost or Fixed Amount. This feature helps to ensure that you will maintain a minimum margin on the goods you sell.
Update Prices Using Specific Criteria
The Basic Price Update and Multi-Level Price Update functions allow you to choose to have the system update the List Price, Special Price, and Cost Base as well as the multi-level item prices. This feature allows you to truly customize price changes. You can choose to update prices by a selected percentage or a flat amount. You can base the new price on the list price, cost base or the average cost in all or selected warehouse locations.
