Oftentimes, you need machine resources in the manufacture of master items. In AccountMate Enterprise, you must set up machine records using the Machine Maintenance function. These records serve as the source of machine usage information in the Manufacturing module.
A machine record provides information about each machine's identification number, status, rate type, machine operating cost, machine overhaul information and other data applicable to its use in the manufacturing process. The machine record also shows the length of time the machine can be in use before it needs to be scheduled for overhaul. It allows you to track the amount of time the machine has been used on finished jobs since the last overhaul, machine time allocated to jobs that are still in-process, and the time left before the machine's next scheduled overhaul. This information in the machine record allows you to determine the machine’s availability for other jobs and to schedule its overhaul and service.
