Browsing AccountMate Enterprise tables are useful when verifying information and evaluating data to fix data corruption. The Data Viewer function allows you to quickly browse tables and views, and also generate a report that you can print. This function is password-protected to prevent unauthorized users from viewing these tables. You must have the appropriate access rights before you can browse and/or export certain data files.

To browse and/or export the data files, perform the following steps:

1.Access the Data Viewer function from the Utilities group in the System Administrator menu of the System Administrator module.

2.In the left side of the Data Viewer screen is the modules list. Double-click a module name to view the tables available for the selected module. You may scroll up and down to locate a table.

3.In the Criteria section, define the parameters for records in the selected table that you want to browse and/or export.

4.In the Fields area, mark the corresponding checkboxes of the specific fields that you want to be displayed on the grid below.

5.When you are ready, click the Browse button to display the records the system retrieved based on the specified criteria. Each record appears in a separate line so that data in similar fields in each record is lined up in columns. This allows you to quickly scan the data in a particular field for all records in a file.

6.Click the Close (X) button when you are done browsing the table.

Note: Note:  If you want to change the order of the columns in the grid, simply click on a column header and drag it to the desired position. This does not affect the order in which the related fields appear in the Fields tab or in any other records.

7.If you want to export the specified records in the selected table, simply click the Export button.

8.In the Save As window that appears, specify the file name and the directory to which the data will be exported. In the Save As Type field, click the drop-down button and select the option that you want. Click the Save button to proceed; otherwise, click No.

9.When the export process is completed, a message box appears informing you that it is done. Click the Yes button to view the recently exported file; otherwise, click No. If you click Yes, it will automatically open the Microsoft Excel program and the exported file.
