The AR Currency Gain/Loss Report function allows you to generate a report that provides information about gains and losses resulting from multi-currency transactions. This report shows you the amount of gain or loss for invoices whose exchange rate fluctuates from the initial currency exchange rate. An exchange gain or loss occurs when the exchange rate of a particular currency during settlement of the invoice differs from the exchange rate during the posting of the transaction.
This report has the following uses:
•To reconcile the AR Currency Gain/Loss GL Account balance.
•To evaluate the effects of exchange rate fluctuations, particularly in the Accounts Receivable transactions.
