The Kit Item Transaction Log function allows you to generate a report that shows detailed information about the transactions involving kit inventory items. These transactions may include the building and disassembling of kit inventory items.

The report can be used in tracking and reviewing transactions involving kit items.

Note: Build-on-the-fly kit inventory items are not included in this report since these inventory items does not require pre-assembly prior to shipment to the customers.

To generate the Kit Item Transaction Log, perform the following procedures:

1.Access the Kit Item Transaction Log function from the Transaction Log Reports group under the Reports main menu in the Inventory Control module.

2.Select the report configuration that you want to use by clicking the List box button next to the Configuration field.

3.Click the List box button next to the Sort By field and select from the following report sorting options:

•Kit #

•Item #

•Warehouse

•Build Date

4.In the Layout field, click the List box button to select the report layout you want to use in generating the report.

5.In the Report Configuration area, define the report filters. You may mark the Individual checkbox if you want to generate the report for a single item and enter the appropriate value in the adjacent field; otherwise, select in the Filters area the preferred criteria in generating the report.

6.Mark any or all of the following checkboxes, if applicable:

oInclude Component Items

Mark this checkbox to display in the report the kit inventory items’ components.

oInclude Items On-Hand Only

Mark this checkbox to display in the report the kit inventory items that are not yet sold.

oShow Serial #

Mark this checkbox to display in the report the serial numbers assigned to the applicable serialized kit inventory item and serialized component inventory item.

oShow Lot #

Mark this checkbox to display in the report the lot number of the applicable kit lot-controlled inventory item and lot-controlled component inventory item.

7.Select which of the following you want to include in the report:

•Disassembled and Built Kits

•Disassembled Kits Only

•Built Kits Only

8.Click the Preview or Print button to preview or print the report. Click the Configure tab to return to the report configuration page.

The Kit Item Transaction Log function also provides you with the flexibility to perform the following:

•Set up user-defined report macro

•Set up user-defined sort option

•Set up user-defined report layout

•Include notes in the printed report

•Export the report to various supported file formats

•Send the report as attachment to an email

•Include time and printed by information

•Drill-down on certain fields in the report:
