The Inventory Monthly Comparison Report function allows you to generate a report showing a comparison of the monthly transaction balances or transaction quantities per item, if applicable, for the range of dates defined in the report filters criteria. You can specify the type of transaction that you want to include in the calculation of the monthly comparison amount or quantities.
This report is useful for reviewing the monthly transaction balance or transaction quantity for the periods specified for comparison and as reference in analyzing the effects of transactions to your inventory for each comparison period you specify.
To generate the Inventory Monthly Comparison Report, perform the following procedures:
1.Access the Inventory Monthly Comparison Report function from the Analysis group under the Reports main menu in the Inventory Control or Accounts Receivable module.
2.Click the List box button next to the Configuration field; then, select the report configuration that you want to use.
3.Select the report sorting option by clicking the List box button next to the Sort By field.
4.In the Layout field, click the List box button to select the report layout you want to use in generating the report.
5.In the Report Configuration area, define the desired report filters. You may mark the Individual checkbox if you want to generate the report for a single item and enter the appropriate value in the adjacent field; otherwise, select in the Filters area the desired criteria in generating the report.
6.Choose the transaction information you want to show in the report:
•Show Amount
•Show Quantity
7.Select the transaction types that you want to show in the report:
•Invoice Transactions
•Received Goods Transactions
•Finished Job Transactions (Parent)
•Finished Job Transactions (Component)
•Inventory Adjustments
•Internal Stock Issuances
•Kit Transactions
•Cost Method Changes
•Physical Count Updates
•Standard Cost Update
8.Click the Preview or Print button to preview or print the report. Click the Configure tab to return to the report configuration page.
The Inventory Monthly Summary Report function also provides you with the flexibility to perform the following:
•Set up user-defined sort option
•Include notes in the printed report
•Export the report to various supported file formats
•Send the report as attachment to an email
•Include time and printed by information
•Drill-down on certain fields in the report:
