General Ledger - Financial Reports

The Financial Reports provides information regarding an organization’s financial results, financial condition, and cash flows. The reports outlines the company’s financial activities and the position of your business. The reports are presented in a structured form that adheres to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Read the information below to get a closer look at each of the Financial Reports available in AccountMate Enterprise.

Balance Sheet

One of the financial statements available in AccountMate is the Balance Sheet. This report provides information on the current financial standing of your company at a specific point in time showing the company’s assets, liabilities, and equity account balances. This report helps you in assessing the financial condition of your company and also serves as a reference when evaluating various financial ratios.

You can select to generate this report for a single period only, period comparison (which may belong to the same fiscal year or different fiscal years), 2-year comparison or 3-year comparison. You can also select either combined or consolidate options on how to display the balances in the report. You can opt to present in the report the account balances rounded off to whole numbers in hundreds, in thousands, in ten thousands, in hundred thousands, or in millions of the company’s reporting currency units. You can further opt to show in the report the Account IDs, decimals, and include in the report zero balance accounts. You may also choose to show the liabilities and equity sections on separate pages.

Income Statement

The Income Statement provides information on the results of your company’s operations for a reporting period. This report gives you a summary of your company’s revenues, expenses, gains and losses for a certain period or range of periods. This report helps you in assessing the results of the company’s operations as of a certain period and as reference when evaluating various financial ratios.

You can generate this report for a single period, period comparison (which may belong to the same fiscal year or different fiscal years), range of periods (which should belong to the same fiscal year), 2-year comparison or 3-year comparison. You can select to generate this report for period-to-date, year-to-date, combined period-to-date and year-to-date, or range to date. You can also select either combined or consolidate options on how to display the balances in the report. You have the option to select the report format (i.e. single or multiple step) and the approach in which the Other Comprehensive Income account is presented in the report.

You can opt to display in the report the account balances rounded off to whole numbers in hundreds, in ten thousands, in hundred thousand, or in millions of the company’s reporting currency units. You can further opt to show Account IDs, and decimals, and include zero balance accounts in the report.

Statement of Cash Flows

The Statement of Cash Flows report provides information mainly of cash receipts and cash disbursements. It gives details of the specific transaction or activity that involves cash for a specified period and provides the available cash balance at the end of the period. This report is useful for reviewing and monitoring cash resources and movement of funds for any period of either the current or prior year. This report can also serve as reference in your cash flow projections.

You can generate this report for a single period, 2-year comparison (YTD) or 3-year comparison (YTD). You can select to use either the direct or indirect method. You can opt to present in the report the account balances rounded off to whole numbers in hundreds, in thousands, in ten thousands, in hundred thousands, or in millions of the company’s reporting currency units. You can further opt to include zero cash flow categories and to show the amount decimals in the report.
