The Chart of Accounts Reports provide detailed information on the GL Account IDs and GL account distribution for the allocation GL Account IDs. These reports are useful in reviewing details of your company’s GL Account IDs and allocation GL Account IDs. Each of these reports is especially designed to provide filter options so you can narrow down data to the specific information needed. Each report is presented in various formats.

Account Listing

The Account Listing report provides an updated list of your company’s GL Account IDs as of the report date and gives the details of each GL Account ID. The report shows the account status, as well as the account type (e.g. posting, fixed allocation, or variable allocation), typical entry, cash flow and ratio groups. The report is useful for checking accuracy of each GL Account ID and tracking of any modifications made. It can also be used as reference for posting transactions to appropriate GL Account IDs.

You can generate the report to show only active GL accounts, only inactive GL accounts, or to show all GL accounts regardless of status. You can also select to include the account ID’s cash flow group and ratio group in this report.

Fixed Allocation Account Distribution Listing

GL account IDs in AccountMate Enterprise can be designated either as a posting account, a fixed allocation account, or a variable allocation account. Fixed allocation account type refers to allocation accounts where distribution is based on either a fixed amount or a fixed percentage rate. Users define the distribution amounts or rates during creation of the fixed allocation GL Account ID.

The Fixed Allocation Account Distribution Listing provides information of the distribution accounts defined for each fixed allocation GL account IDs which includes the distribution percentage rate or fixed amount details. The report can be used as reference in identifying and reviewing the set up correctness of fixed allocation GL Account IDs, and in determining the distribution rates or amounts set up for each.

Variable Allocation Account Distribution Listing

Variable allocation account type refers to allocation accounts where distribution is based on variable ratios. These ratios are set up during creation of the variable allocation GL Account IDs.

The Variable Allocation Account Distribution Listing identifies the variable allocation GL Account IDs in the system. The report provides details of the distribution GL Account IDs currently set up for each variable allocation account and the statistical account assigned to each distribution account. The report is useful for identifying and reviewing the correctness of the variable allocation GL Account IDs and the statistical ratios used for each account.

RE Account Setup Listing

The RE Account Setup Listing provides information about the retained earnings account for each minor segment. The report shows the segment definition and the segment code for each minor segment. This report is useful for reviewing the retained earnings account associated for each minor segment set up in the system.
