Manufacturing - Work Order Reports

The Work Order Reports provide information on the work order status, backorders, unexploded work orders, component explosions, and where specific components have been used. Each of the Work Order Reports has various options and criteria that provide a wide variety of work order-related information and report formats. Read the information below to get a closer look at each of the Work Order Reports available in AccountMate.

Work Order Status Report

The Work Order Status Report provides information on the work orders' status and balances. The report shows the inventory item quantities that are yet to be manufactured, in-process, and/or finished products. More specifically, this report shows the work order numbers, job numbers, parent item numbers and descriptions, work order dates, request dates, manufacturing quantities, work-in-process quantities, finished quantities, standard costs, and extended costs. You can use this report as reference in managing the production resources and prioritizing the work order completion.

You can generate this report only for master parent jobs, only for subassembly jobs, or all jobs. You can further filter the report to include only the completed jobs, only the incomplete jobs, or all jobs regardless of their status.

Backorder Report

The Backorder Report provides detail information of work order line items that are on back order (e.g., work order line items that are yet to be manufactured). This report includes specific information including the work order numbers, job numbers, parent item numbers and descriptions, work order dates, request dates, manufacturing quantities, finished quantities, work-in-process quantities, backorder quantities, standard costs, and backorder extended costs pertaining to the backorder items. This report is useful in managing the backorders and production resources as well as in prioritizing the work order completion.

You can opt to count the work-in-process quantities as backorder quantities. You can generate this report only for master parent jobs, only for subassembly jobs, or all jobs. You can further filter the report to include only the completed jobs, only the incomplete jobs, or all jobs regardless of their status.

Unexploded Work Report

The Unexploded Work Report provides information on work orders that are yet to be exploded into their jobs and components. More specifically, this report includes information on the work order numbers, parent item numbers and descriptions, work order dates, request dates, and manufacturing quantities pertaining to the unexploded work orders. This report helps you identify and review the work orders that are yet to be exploded as well as manage resources and prioritize the work order explosion.

Materials Explosion Report

The Materials Explosion Report provides information on work orders that have been exploded into their jobs and components. More specifically, this report includes information on the work order numbers, item numbers and descriptions, component item numbers and descriptions, completed job numbers, manufacturing levels, manufacturing quantities, and manufacturing time pertaining to the exploded work orders. This report helps you determine the components used in each job as well as the explosion level of each job and its components. It is also useful in determining the master item job to which the parent item is assigned as well as the inventory item quantities, machine resources, and labor resources needed to manufacture the parent item. You can generate this report only for the completed jobs, only for the incomplete jobs, or for all jobs regardless of their status.

Where-Used Report

The Where-Used Report provides information on the usage of the master item components--inventory items, labor resources and/or machine resources--to complete a job. This report lists for each component the related work orders and jobs to which the component is required. In addition, the report shows the quantities needed to manufacture a master or parent item as well as the work-in-process, allocated, finished, and used quantities of each component in every job. The report shows for each labor or machine resource the setup time, teardown time, manufacturing time, allocated time, and the time used for each component in every job. You can refer to this report when monitoring the resources usage during production.
