Manufacturing - Finished-Work Reports

The Finished-Work Reports provide information about finished jobs, resources used on finished jobs, machine and labor resources applied to jobs, production variances, remnants, and scraps. Each of the Finished-Work Reports has various options and criteria that provide a wide variety of finished job-related information and report formats. Read the information below to get a closer look at each of the Finished-Work Reports available in AccountMate.

Finished-Work Report

The Finished-Work Report provides information about the completed manufacturing jobs. This report displays the work order numbers, job numbers, parent item numbers and descriptions, manufacturing levels, order dates, request dates, start dates, finished dates, finished quantities, unit costs, and extended costs pertaining to the finished manufacturing jobs. This report comes in handy when you need to evaluate productivity in terms of job completion and to monitor the cost of finished jobs in each work order.

You can elect to include in the report only the master parent jobs, only the subassembly jobs, or all jobs. You can further filter the information in the report by choosing to include only the completed jobs, only the incomplete jobs, or all jobs regardless of their completion status. You can also elect to include only the parent items in each work order which finished quantities are released to inventory, only the parent items in each work order which finished quantities are yet to be released to inventory, or all parent items in each work order regardless of whether the finished quantities are released to inventory.

Resources Used Report

The Resources Used Report provides information about inventory, labor, and machine components that are used to finish a job. Specifically, this report displays the work order numbers, job numbers, component numbers and descriptions, finished dates, manufacturing step numbers, work shifts, time or quantities used, scrap quantities, unit costs, and extended costs pertaining to the components that have been used to complete each job. This report can be used to identify and to monitor the cost of each component used to complete a job. You can also use this report as reference in updating an inventory item's bill of materials record. You can choose to include in the report only the inventory components, only the machine components, only the labor components, or all components regardless of their types.

Machine Application Report

The Machine Application Report provides information about the machine resources used to complete a job. This report displays specific information including the work order numbers, machine component numbers and descriptions, job numbers, finished dates, manufacturing step numbers, work shifts, setup time, teardown time, and time used pertaining to the machine resources used to complete a job. This report is useful in identifying the machine time used to complete a job. It also serves as reference in updating the inventory item's bill of materials record.

Labor Application Report

The Labor Application Report provides information about the labor resources used to complete a job. This report displays specific information including the work order numbers, labor component numbers and descriptions, job numbers, finished dates, manufacturing step numbers, work shifts, setup time, teardown time, and time used pertaining to the labor resources used to complete a job. This report is useful in identifying the labor time used to complete a job. It also serves as reference in updating the inventory item's bill of materials record.

Production Variance Report

The Production Variance Report provides information on the completely finished jobs and the variance between the expected and actual raw material quantities, labor time, and machine time used to complete a job. This report displays specific information including the work order numbers, job numbers, component numbers and descriptions, manufacturing step numbers, actual quantities and costs, standard quantities and costs, quantity and cost variances, and production variances pertaining to completed jobs. You can use this report as reference in evaluating production efficiency and performance and in planning the use of resources in future manufacturing jobs.

Remnants Report

The Remnants Report provides information about the remnant items created during the manufacturing process and on the remnant items costs that may affect the finished job costs. Specific information displayed in the report includes the work order numbers, job numbers, remnant item numbers and descriptions, warehouse, finished date, remnant item quantities and unit costs, and extended costs pertaining to the remnant items created in the process of completing the job. You can use this report in identifying the remnant items created in the process of completing a job and in monitoring the remnant item costs. It also serves as reference in verifying the accuracy of finished job costs.

Scrap Report

The Scrap Report provides information about the scrap quantities from the component items used during the manufacturing process. Specific information displayed in the report includes the work order numbers, job numbers, component item numbers and descriptions, warehouse, finished date, scrap quantities and unit costs, and extended costs pertaining to the scrap quantities from the component items used in completing a job. You can use this report in identifying the scrap quantities from the component items used in the process of completing a job. It is also useful in monitoring and verifying the accuracy of scrap costs.
