The Segment Restrictions Page allows you to grant or deny user access for any GL Account IDs that are assigned with the segment value. In this function, you can specify individual users or a group of users who you wish to grant or deny access rights in using GL Account IDs with the segment value in any transactions within AccountMate.

 

For example: If user A is denied access to segment value "110300 Cash in Bank - Payroll", the user cannot post any transaction (whether Payroll related or otherwise) for GL Account IDs that are assigned with the segment value "110300" anywhere in AccountMate.

 

 

 

To grant segment restrictions, follow the steps below:

 

1.Mark the checkbox of the corresponding user name who you wish to grant access rights to use any GL Account IDs that are assigned with the segment value; otherwise, leave the checkbox unmarked.

 

2.Repeat Step #1 for each user that you wish to grant the necessary access rights.

 

3.When you are ready, click the Save button in the Maintenance toolbar to save your entries; otherwise, click Cancel.
