The Sales Tax Amount Report function allows you to generate a report that shows detailed information about the sales tax amount computed by the system for each taxable customer invoice.
This report has the following uses:
•To aid in verifying the completeness and propriety of computed sales tax amount for each taxable customer invoice.
•To be a reference in calculating the total sales tax amount due for each sales tax entity or state.
To print the Sales Tax Amount Report, follow these steps:
1.Access the Sales Tax Amount Report function from the Sales Tax Listings group under the Reports main menu of the Accounts Receivable module.
2.Click the List box button next to the Configuration field; then, select the report configuration that you want to use.
3.Click the List box button next to the Sort By field and select from the following report sorting options:
•Tax Code
•Tax Entity Code
•Customer #
4.In the Layout field, click the List box button to select the report layout you want to use in generating the report.
5.In the Report Configuration area, define the desired report filters. Depending on the sorting option you chose, you may mark the Individual checkbox if you want to generate the report for a single tax entity code or customer, and enter the appropriate value in the adjacent field; otherwise, select in the Filters area the desired criteria in generating the report.
6.Mark the Include Non-Taxable Invoices checkbox if you want to include in the report the customer invoices that are not taxable.
7.Mark the Consolidate Report checkbox if you want the report to show sales tax amounts for both the consolidation and the subsidiary customers. This report option is only available when you sort the report by Customer # and mark the Individual Customer # checkbox.
8.For companies with Canada country tax, select which of the following you want to include in the report:
•Sales invoices only
•Sales Returns only
•Invoice and Sales Returns
9.For companies with Canada country tax, choose the tax type that you want to show in the report:
•GST Only
•PST Only
•GST and PST
10.Click the Preview or Print button to preview or print the report. Click the Configure tab to return to the report configuration page.
The Sales Tax Amount Report function also provides you with flexibility to perform the following:
•Set up user-defined sort option
•Include notes in the printed report
•Export the report to various supported file formats
•Send the report as attachment to an email
•Include time and printed by information
•Drill-down on certain fields in the report:

AccountMate displays the Customer Profile when you double-click a customer number in the report. |
