Customer Inventory

Many customers want to use their own inventory item numbers, descriptions and units of measurement when receiving and being billed for those products and services.  Your ability to provide this information is essential to obtaining and keeping customers. With the Customer Inventory feature, you can easily cross reference your inventory item numbers, descriptions and units of measurement to each customer’s required data; and, in addition, can automatically update item prices for those customers.

The Customer Inventory feature allows you to perform the following:

You can define each customer record to use the customer item numbers instead of your own inventory item numbers. You can then select and cross-reference items individually or select a range of items to add to a customer’s inventory record; and then quickly cross-reference those items. These features allow you to tailor invoices and orders to your customers.

The system displays the following customer inventory transaction information:  customer inventory item numbers, descriptions and units of measurement.

You can generate customer inventory reports.

You can set customer specific (contract) prices for each cross-referenced item. (This pricing option is available if the Pricing Control module is installed and activated in the system.)
