An equity transaction code is used to represent the different activities that cause the company's equity account balances to change during a fiscal period or year.
You can assign an equity transaction code to a major segment value using the Account Segment Values Maintenance function. This information is used with the Equity Component of the major segment value to generate the Statement of Changes in Equity report.
The Equity Transaction Codes Maintenance function allows you to set up records for equity transaction codes. Specifically, this function allows you to perform the following procedures:
•Set up Equity Transaction Code Record
•Update or Delete Equity Transaction Code Record
