Projected Material Requirement Report

The Projected Material Requirement Report provides a list of work orders to complete for each component item and at what step of the manufacturing process the component is required. The report also provides information on the manufacturing quantities, quantities posted to work-in-process, used quantities, and required quantities for each component item.  

 

This report has the following uses:

 

For reference in managing and prioritizing work order production

 

For determining the component items that have insufficient quantities to complete a work order, as well as the accumulated shortage quantities.

 

 

To print the Projected Material Requirement Report, perform the following steps:

 

1.Access the Projected Material Requirement Report function from the MRP group under the Reports main menu in Manufacturing module.

 

2.Click the List box button beside the Configuration field and select the preferred report configuration.

 

3.Amend or accept the default sorting option in the Sort By field. To select a different Sort By option, click the List box button and select from the options displayed on the list.

 

4.In the Layout field, accept or amend the default layout for the report. To select a different Layout option, click the List box button and select from the options displayed on the list.

 

5.In the Report Configuration area, define the report filters. Depending on the Sort By option you choose, you may mark the Individual checkbox if you want to generate the report for a single record and enter the appropriate value in the adjacent field; otherwise, select in the Filters area the preferred criteria in generating the report.

 

6.Mark any of the following check boxes, whichever is applicable:

 

oExclude Components not in Shortage

Mark this checkbox if you want to exclude in the report component items whose final net quantity value is less than zero.

 

oInclude Completed Work Orders

Mark this checkbox if you want to include in the report the work orders that are completed.

 

7.Click the Preview or Print button to preview or print the report, respectively.

 

 

The Projected Material Requirement Report function provides you with flexibility to perform the following:

 

Set up user-defined report macro

Set up user-defined sort option

Set up user-defined report layout

Include notes in the printed report

Export the report to various supported file formats

Send the report as attachment to an email

Include time and printed by information
