The Production Variance Report provides information on finished work orders and the variance between the expected and actual raw material quantities used and/or labor/machine time incurred in the completion of work orders.
The report shows each component's actual and standard quantity and any resulting quantity variance, as well as its actual and standard cost and any resulting cost variance.
This report has the following uses:
•For reference in evaluating production efficiency or performance
•For reference in planning the use of resources in future productions
To print the Production Variance Report, perform the following steps:
1.Access the Production Variance Report function from the Finished Jobs group under the Reports main menu in Manufacturing module.
2.Click the List box button beside the Configuration field and select the preferred report configuration.
3.Amend or accept the default sorting option in the Sort By field. To select a different Sort By option, click the List box button and select from the options displayed on the list.
4.In the Layout field, accept or amend the default layout for the report. To select a different Layout option, click the List box button and select from the options displayed on the list.
5.In the Report Configuration area, define the report filters. Depending on the Sort By option you choose, you may mark the Individual checkbox if you want to generate the report for a single record and enter the appropriate value in the adjacent field; otherwise, select in the Filters area the preferred criteria in generating the report.
6.Click the Preview or Print button to preview or print the report, respectively.
The Production Variance Report function provides you with flexibility to perform the following:
•Set up user-defined report macro
•Set up user-defined sort option
•Set up user-defined report layout
•Include notes in the printed report
•Export the report to various supported file formats
•Send the report as attachment to an email
•Include time and printed by information
