The Print/E-File 1099 report function allows you to print and electronically file current-year and prior-year Form 1099-MISC and Form 1099-NEC. If the 1099 current year specified in AP Module Setup is 2021, you can still print the 2020 1099 forms. AccountMate will print these forms for vendors who are identified in the program as 1099 vendors and who have accumulated payments greater than the minimum values shown in the 1099 payment table in the AP Module Setup function.

To print the 1099 forms, follow these steps:

1.Access the 1099 Reports function from the Reports menu in the Accounts Payable module; then, select the Print/E-file 1099 option.

2.Select whether you want to print the 1099 forms for the:

•Current 1099 Year

•Prior 1099 Year

Note: The Current 1099 Year is specified in the AP Module Setup function. AccountMate automatically displays in the Print/E-file 1099 function the Prior 1099 Year, which is the year immediately prior to the user-specified Current 1099 Year.

3.Choose which of these forms you want to print or electronically file:

•Form 1099-MISC

•Form 1099-NEC

4.Click the Preview button to preview the report.

Note: After clicking Preview, the Aatrix function windows (i.e., third-party software integrated with AccountMate) are displayed but the data comes from AccountMate. You may amend the data; however, the changes you entered in Aatrix will not update the AccountMate data. If you want to update the AccountMate data with the same changes you entered in Aatrix, you must update the information in the affected master record or perform a Amend1099 Type in AccountMate.

5.Click the History button if you want to view the previously printed or electronically filed forms of either the 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC. Clicking this button will display the Aatrix function windows.
