The Account Category Listing displays detailed information about the account categories you are currently using in your financial statements. These account categories are defined in the Account Categories page of the GL Module Setup function.
This report has the following uses:
•To review the completeness of the recorded account groups.
•To determine the propriety of the assigned account category for each account group.
•To view the organization of financial statements on the basis of the defined account categories.
To print the Account Categories Listing, follow these steps:
1.Access the Account Category Listing from the Listing group under the Reports tab of the General Ledger module.
2.Click the List box button next to the Configuration field; then, select the report configuration that you want to use.
3.Amend or accept the default sorting option in the Sort By field. To select a different Sort By option, click the List box button and select from the options displayed on the list.
4.In the Layout field, accept or amend the default layout for the report. To select a different Layout option, click the List box button and select from the options displayed on the list.
5.In the Report Configuration section, define the desired report filters in generating the report.
6.Select any of the following options:
oAll type
Choose this option if you want to generate the report showing all GL Account IDs regardless of their category. |
oBalance Sheet Type
Choose this option if you want the report to show only GL Account IDs that are assigned the Balance Sheet account category type. |
oIncome Statement Type
Choose this option if you want the report to show only GL Account IDs that are assigned the Income Statement account category type. |
oComprehensive Income Type
Choose this option if you want the report to show only GL Account IDs that are assigned the Comprehensive Income account category type. |
7.Click the Preview or Print button to preview or print the report. Click the Configure tab to return to the report configuration page.
The Account Category Listing function also provides you with flexibility to perform the following:
•Set up user-defined sort option
•Include notes in the printed report.
•Export the report to various supported file formats.
•Send the report as attachment to an email
•Include time and printed by information.
