The Resource Allocation Report provides information about inventory, labor, and machine components that the system has allocated or reserved for each of the work orders that you have posted to work-in-process.
This report has the following use:
•For reference in identifying the cost of each component in each work order that is still in-process
•For determining the components' work-in-process quantities and the allocated time of machine and/or labor resources
To generate the Resource Allocation Report, perform the following steps:
1.Access the Resource Allocation Report function from the Production group under the Reports main menu in Manufacturing module.
2.Click the List box button beside the Configuration field and select the preferred report configuration.
3.Amend or accept the default sorting option in the Sort By field. To select a different Sort By option, click the List box button and select from the options displayed on the list.
4.In the Layout field, accept or amend the default layout for the report. To select a different Layout option, click the List box button and select from the options displayed on the list.
5.In the Report Configuration area, define the report filters. Depending on the Sort By option you choose, you may mark the Individual checkbox if you want to generate the report for a single record and enter the appropriate value in the adjacent field; otherwise, select in the Filters area the preferred criteria in generating the report.
6.Choose one of the following options to filter the information to be included in the report:
oAll Component Types
Mark this option if you want to include in the report all the component types in each work order, regardless of whether the component is an inventory item, machine, or labor. |
oInventory Components Only
Mark this option if you want to include in the report only the inventory components. |
oMachine Components Only
Mark this option if you want to include in the report only the machine components. |
oLabor Components Only
Mark this option if you want to include in the report only the labor components. |
7.Click the Preview or Print button to preview or print the report, respectively.
The Resource Allocation Report function provides you with flexibility to perform the following:
•Set up user-defined report macro
•Set up user-defined sort option
•Set up user-defined report layout
•Include notes in the printed report
•Export the report to various supported file formats
•Send the report as attachment to an email
•Include time and printed by information
