The Cost Adjustment Requirement Report function generates a report that provides information about inventory items whose costs are out-of-balance due to rounding off differences. This report is useful when evaluating any cost discrepancies in your inventory items.  Generate this report as a guide in posting inventory adjustment using the Inventory Adjustment function.

In this report, you will see the following costs related to the different inventory items:

oTotal Cost

This column reflects the sum of the transactions for the inventory item as of the current date.

oCalculated Cost

This column reflects the cost of the inventory item's on-hand quantity that the system calculates by multiplying the on-hand quantity of the inventory item and cost per unit as shown on its inventory record.

oSuggested Adjustment

This column reflects the difference between the inventory item's Total and Calculated Costs. The amount shown in this column is the suggested amount that you can adjust in the Inventory Adjustment Maintenance function to reconcile the two cost values.
